Audible Alerts on Alexa — Setup Guide
Audible alerts allow members to receive real-time notifications directly on their Alexa devices. These alerts can be customized based on alert type, days of the week, and time of day, ensuring members receive only relevant updates.
What Are Audible Alerts?
Audible alerts are voice notifications delivered through Alexa devices for events related to:
- Activity Monitoring
- Health Monitoring
These alerts help members stay informed without needing to check the application.
Available Alert Types
You can choose exactly which alerts are announced on Alexa.

Customization Options
You can configure:
- ✅ Specific alerts to be announced on Alexa
- 📅 Days of the week alerts are active
- ⏰ Time window for alerts
How to Enable Audible Alerts
- Log in to the Zemplee Portal
- From the left menu, click Settings
- Select Notification Profiles
- At the top, choose:
- Member (Important: alerts are sent to the member’s Alexa)
- Click Create New Profile on the right side
- Fill in the details:
- Profile Name → Enter the member’s name
- Select Member → Choose from dropdown
- Days of the Week → Select from dropdown
- Under Notification Mode:
- ✅ Select Alexa
- Once Alexa is selected:
- Activity Monitoring and Health Alerts sections will be enabled
- Choose which alerts to send by checking/unchecking boxes under the Alexa column
- Set the time range for when alerts should be delivered

(Optional)
- By default, alerts are enabled under In-App notifications
- You can disable these if needed
- ⚠️ In-App alerts only work if the member has their own login
- Click Create Profile
Final Step
The profile is applied immediately, and the member will start receiving audible alerts on their Alexa device as per your configuration.
Best Practices
- Avoid enabling all alerts unless necessary to prevent alert fatigue
- Use time windows to prevent disturbances during rest hours
- Focus on critical alerts for better effectiveness
