Hub Status: OK Hub Status: NOT OK Important Notes Scenario 1: Hub Status is OK, but sensors are not painting Scenario 2: Hub Status is NOT OK, but sensors are painting Troubleshooting

The Hub Status on the Daily Activity Page (DAP) provides a quick indication of the overall health of the member's Activity Hub. It reflects whether the hub is functioning correctly and communicating with the Zemplee platform.

Hub Status: OK

A Hub Status of OK indicates that the hub is operating normally.

This means:

  • The hub is connected to either LTE or Wi-Fi.
  • The hub is powered on and functioning as expected.
  • The hub is successfully transmitting data to the Zemplee platform.
  • No active hub-related issues have been detected.

No action is required when the Hub Status displays OK.

Hub Status: NOT OK

A Hub Status of NOT OK indicates that the hub has detected one or more issues that may affect its operation or its ability to communicate with the platform.

Common reasons for a NOT OK status include:

  • The hub has lost its LTE or Wi-Fi connection.
  • The hub has been disconnected from power.
  • The hub's backup battery is running low because it has been operating on battery power for an extended period.
  • The hub cover is open, triggering a tamper condition.

Important Notes

The Hub Status should NOT be relied upon as the sole indicator of Hub health.

The Hub Status is "assessed" and updated by the system once every 6 hours. This update frequency is fixed and cannot be reduced, meaning the displayed status may not always reflect the hub's current status in real time.

For the most accurate assessment of hub activity, always review the Daily Activity Page chart to confirm that the sensors are actively painting.

Scenario 1: Hub Status is OK, but sensors are not painting

If the Hub Status shows OK, but none of the sensors are painting on the Daily Activity Page;  The Member may be out of the home and thus the sensors are not being triggered.  If that is not the case, contact Zemplee Support for further investigation.

Scenario 2: Hub Status is NOT OK, but sensors are painting

If the Hub Status shows NOT OK, but the sensors continue to paint on the Daily Activity Page, contact Zemplee Support. The support team can verify whether there is an actual issue with the hub or whether the status has not yet updated (see Troubleshooting).

Troubleshooting

If the Hub Status displays NOT OK, verify the following before contacting support:

  1. Ensure the hub is plugged into a working power outlet.
  2. Confirm that LTE or Wi-Fi connectivity is available.
  3. Check whether the hub has been running on battery backup for an extended period and allow it to recharge after restoring power.
  4. Verify that the hub cover is fully closed and securely latched.

If the issue persists or the Hub Status does not match the activity shown on the Daily Activity Page, contact Zemplee Support.
